Now you're probably asking yourself, "Which hero has the ability to make Superman look silly?" The truth is, many of them (but that's because I'm a Marvel guy for life and don't have much love for Superman...sue me...). Even so, I recognize that Superman has some pretty spectacular powers, so it's with no exaggeration that I say that today's submission would be just as well received by the American populace as a living, breathing Superman would be...
And so, courtesy of Mike Dowling, I present to you...
The Accumulator!
That's right folks! Saving the economy one person at a time, the Accumulator is here to rescue America from its economic downard spiral. He's the answer we've been looking for (and the hero stock brokers had previously only dreamed of).
On a more serious note, how awesome is Mike's artwork on this piece? It is such a great blend of cartoony appearance and eye-candy crispness that I can't look away. The cape alone gets me excited every time I see it.
Ok...sorry...enough gushing from me. Hope you guys enjoy this piece as much as I do. Stellar work, Mike, and thanks for the submission!
On that note, I'll sign off until tomorrow. I'm not sure how long we'll keep accepting Graphic Comic week submissions, but I'd rather throw it out there as a possibility than discourage people from sending in good material. So send your stuff to [email protected] if you have it and I'll try to squeeze it in before tomorrow.
If not, then just sit back and enjoy the great stuff we'll have coming your way in the morning. And don't forget to check out this morning's great submission from Brian Hauge. When it's titled "The Wisdom of Beards," you know it's going to be good. Thanks for reading and we'll be back soon!
-The Mighty Pen (Mike Billeter)
I hope any of my comments are accurate. I have an embarrassingly small amount of wisdom in the realm of economics. If I'm way wrong on anything I said, please tell me so I can fix it and not look as dumb as I'm afraid I could sound.
Thank you all.

The real question that this illustration poses is "Where did he get the girder?" What train or building is now veering toward disaster?
