Menke and her Amazing Art Machine

Sent in by future Famous for Meats intern, this banner was created by Tiffany Menke and her Amazing Art Machine.  For an assignment in Liz Bashore Heeren's class, Menke had to a create machine that was able to produce "art".  As we understand it here at the GC desk, the machine used a paint can shaker to project the letters into some really great abstract pieces.  Check it-

Alright, it's official, Menke has destroyed the artist.  We're hanging it up.  Machines have trumped us.  The era of the artist is over.  Thanks a lot, Menke.  No more need to make art, let's just hook it up to the paint can shaker

You Say Tomato, We Say Tomato

First off, we know we said it was only going to be half a week extension on Paper Craft Week but due to inflation, we're going with another full week of that paper craft goodness you've come to love. Introducing, The Foldness: Paper Craft 1/2 Month.

But enough chit-chat, let's get to business.

To start the week, we have a submission from Famous for Meats hopeful, Tiffany Menke. A local University Center student, Menke brought by this beauty of a gardening-origami hybrid to the FP Headquarters. The tomatoes are based off the water bomb fold (a personal favorite) and hooked together through some plant sculpture wire. This thing is really nice. And it'll never die. So we can admire it forever. And ever. This thing is wonderful.

Check out the leaves at the top of the tomatoes! Brilliant!
